The need for society....

"I'm not completely sincere , even when i admit i'm not sincere"-The only human truth

Are you completely honest ? When you voice an opinion , is it based completely on objective reasoning , or is it always tainted by your own interests , no matter how subtle , no matter how vague ? Can you say that when you talk , its only with the other persons interest in mind or simply using objective reasoning ? Do you step outside yourself and really really make a fair call ? Look deep inside and answer these questions to yourself . If you can look inside you and truthfully say you do manage that , i congratulate you . However , the guile of man is so deeply rooted that i doubt too many of us could claim that pureness of thought . That simple unadulterated thought must rank as one of the rarest things around .

That brings us to the question : are those people who shamelessly follow their self interest really as bad as we see them ? If we all have our own self interest in mind , why do we get to be the good ones just because we pretend to camouflage our nature with subtleties and social practices ? Just pretending to follow social norms of behaviour does not make us better people . where is the real , truthful , completely honest opinion ? where are selfless acts done just because they should be done and no other reason ? Why don't we see them today ? In fact , its so bad , that we feel wary of anyone doing exactly what society was created to achieve . Help others and share pain . Carry the burden and provide a structure of support for those in need . Today , our level of distrust is such that the first thought that comes to mind when we see a gesture of pure kindness is to question the real motives behind that gesture . There could be no clearer indicator of the decay thats invaded social structures of the present day , nor could there be anything more sorry about our state of affairs . When a man cannot trust a fellow creature to do a kind deed without expecting some form of repayment , what is the importance of social norms , of living in a society itself ? We discard everything that outlives its usefullness , why not discard society itself . Once we lose even the mere pretense of social interactions and the security blanket it is supposed to provide , once things go completely wild , maybe we'll come to realise its importance and stop raping women in daylight and murdering innocent people for a shallow belief .

It seems society as we know it , must die , before we will ever build it again to function in its true essence . Death , it seems is the only path to rebirth for all things human . Because we never learn ...... thats what will adorn the headstone of the human race : "They never learnt!" .

I agree with you...n u know me too well to think otherwise...you've really done some profound thinking in this one...eh ? (As if not in the others !!)
This just makes me question myself...all over again...whether I see everything objectivly widout myself being a hindrance to my thought process...n I must say...the fact that you acknowledge that v r all suspicious of each other's slight act of kindness...just makes me wonder what else you've gone in that brain of yours...I've always hated this very trait in others...to b suspicious of everything...of every act ..n especially if it cums unexpected...
N you know...in a way...this is what I aim to change in life...if I ever can...
Amazing post...
